Learning to Learn

So i started this Blog with the idea in mind to keep an online diary, tracking my progress to trying to find away to make a living/start a business from home.

It's proven to be harder than I expected life's not as simple as I'd like it to be.

Ok so in my venture to make money from home... I had some business cards printed off, for the photography side of the business. Which I have splendid ideas for, but finding time between study, raising a family and loving my husband, to get the ideas from my head into some sort of tangible, visible reality isnt easy.
Trying to do anything when your over tired is hard enough, especially for women (ok ok not you women). I find myself on emotional roller coaster rides from laughing uncontrollably at the "Arnie" (Arnie- a nickname I've given my Russian class mate, who very uncannily resembles a female Arnold Schwarzenegger) and crying over an article I've read about sending kids off to university. Which is such a long way off, I'm not sure if I was crying at the thought of them leaving or at the thought of how long till they leave.

But never the less, tiredness never stopped anyone and in comparison to a lot of women I know, I might fall closer to the lazy side (esp. when it comes to house work). So I ordered some cards from Sydney, which arrived from Holland and I have been giving these to people, only to then face the next problem, my website went down, or wouldn't go up... Not sure.

People usually say you need a certain amount of start up capital to do anything on your own, money makes it easier, you can hire someone for all the small tasks, pay someone to build you a website etc. In my case, I have to learn this stuff on my own, thank God for user friendly programs that allow you to build sites without ever having to venture into the land of HTML. It does however make it hard to understand what went wrong when you encounter a problem.

But hey it's all learning, and everyone has to start somewhere, even if it's here.
And if I've learnt anything for the article I just read on 'Learning' it's this; studies have proven that people never get to an age where they cannot learn anything new, the brain is always building new channels and even if a section of the brain is slightly damaged, it compensates by building new channels in a different area.

I see My children growing smarter everyday and think, I wonder if I'll be able to ask them for help with my site one day (probably next year) my oldest daughter is a bit of a wiz (squeeze in some Blog bragging)

Keep your mind supple.
